Welcome to Desirable Dog Training

Desirable Dog Training is located in Lyman (south of Rexburg). In the peaceful country surrounded by fields, you'll find a dog trainer's piece of heaven. Artificial turf with rubber infill creating a soft, cushion for dog's joints as they run and jump from agility to recall games. The training field is 110x100ft and fully fenced. Parking is located right in front of the Agility Field. With a designated potty area a few feet to the side of the field.

Safety and dog's longevity is at the forefront of training and the equipment used. All of my agility obstacles come from Clean Run and are Competition Grade.

The ground: rubber infill which creates a cushion for dog's joints while running (and on your joints).

A-Frame: Competiton Grade A-Frame. "The A-frame up contact is the most severe impact our dogs experience on an agility course. Imagine the benefit to your dog if you could reduce that impact! The Clip and Go Cushioned A-frame has a 5/8"-thick layer of energy-absorbing foam under the entire running surface, which creates cushioning to reduce impact—the faster your dog, the greater the benefit. In a simple drop test, we measured a 25% reduction in G-force at impact with the cushioned A-frame surface vs. the same surface covered with just a layer of rubber." - Clean Run​

Dog Walk: Competition Grade Dog Walk. "We have tried out multiple types of dogwalks in the Clean Run training center, and there is no question that this is the Cadillac of dogwalks, and our hands-down favorite! The best dogwalk should provide a solid and stable surface for all dogs, regardless of their size or height. Seesaw: Competition Grade Seesaw. "All of the energy and force created as the plank hits has to go somewhere—that's why we typically see bases moving, boards bouncing dogs off or hitting dogs as they exit, etc. The base and plank of the Clip and Go Seesaw are specifically designed to handle this force and limit the flex, whip, and bounce back that can occur when the plank hits the ground. 

 

Engineered rigid aluminum plank construction to eliminate board flex and whip. Speed-limiting, cushioning cylinders on base to reduce board whip and rebound. Metal MAX/composite board top on plank to reduce noise. Nylon pivot bushings on base to reduce noise. Energy-absorbing foam underneath the grip pads on the descent side of plank to cushion impact. Grip pad on approach side of plank for more stability. Adjustable height from 16" to 24" at the fulcrum for training." Clean Run

Weaves: 2x2 weave poles with access to special connector bracket to create competition pole sets and guide wires.  "Middle section of each base has a sand coating applied to keep dogs from slipping if they step on the base." - Clean Run

Tire: Competition Grade Swing-Back Safety Tire Jump. "This competition swing-back breakaway tire features internal magnets at both the top and bottom that allow the two sides of the tire to separate like saloon doors if a dog hits it.mThe aluminum frame is as small as possible and flat on the bottom for maximum safety. The tire is made of soft-shell PE foam and is 24" in diameter. The jump heights marked on the sides of the frame are 8", 12", 16", 20", and 24", but you can set the tire at any height from 5" to 24"." - Clean Run

Jumps: Competition Grade Safety First Wing Jumps. Wing, wingless, and board jump are available. "The Clip and Go Agility Safety First Wing Jump was designed to flex and absorb the impact if your dog hits a wing. The components of the wing can even come apart if the crash is bad enough. The jump uses Clip and Go Flexible Jump Cup Strips and there are jump cups every 2", from 4" up to 26". The flexible material offers safety for our dogs and is virtually unbreakable." - Clean Run

Tunnels: 3 Competition Grade Tunnels with sandbags galore to ensure the upmost safety while your dog barrels through at top speed.

** All contacts have Galatian covers placed on them. This gives you ease of access to uncover them for use and keeps the equipment safe from weather when not in use.
